Today feels remarkably better than yesterday. I don't know if that's just because I am one day closer to Friday or if it's because work is a bit quieter. Either way, I am enjoying the break and looking forward to the weekend. I am trying to decide if I should spend some of that time shopping at a thrift store or big box store.
My two month shopping ban is officially over, and I thought it might be fun to pick up something fresh for the Texas Style Council. Do you guys ever do that for yourself? I like to make a special occasion a little bit more special with a new outfit sometimes. I have done it for a friend's bridal shower here, that same friend's rehearsal dinner here, and for my tenth wedding anniversary party here. I might use that as a way to treat myself since I don't know how much shopping I am feeling in general.
Today's look was an experiment with pattern mixing between my favorite foxy shirt and this great tweedy jacket. I really like the way it turned out; it's not too austere or plain. I wish my glasses weren't a part of the shots, but my eyes were dry. I also was a little surprised this morning when these pants felt a bit tight. I haven't gained any weight so then I realized maybe they shouldn't have gone into the dryer. I would be so disappointed if my favorite black pants were permanently shrunken. At the end of the day, they had stretched a bit in the waist even if the length still seems a bit short.
Happy Friday, Guys!
