I woke up this morning after having a lot of trouble sleeping. I couldn't get out of my head how much is coming up in just a few days. I am beyond excited for my trip to Austin, but when I get back, I know it will be full steam ahead with work and some great out of town guests. I also need to figure out balancing their visit with my burlesque class and sewing class.
Today is all about getting as much work done as possible on my first video project. I am trying to come up with some interesting graphics for the video open and the titles with everyone's names. Wish me luck and inspiration. I also managed to face plant in my new shoes in front of some 15-20 students. It was so embarassing. I may have strained my knee a little bit, too.
Tonight is all about laundry because my second burleque class was impossible to reach. Evidentally, there is a big university rival baseball game. The attendees took all of the parking around the dance studio for 10 blocks. I was a little bit disappointed, but I am going to try and head over on Thursday if it doesn't interfere with packing too much.
My clothing focus is on getting the most out of New Orleans last bit of winter and getting ready for the trip this weekend with a few new pieces. I also have been wanting to play with more of my jewelry (costume and real stuff); I might even write a post for later. I combined all of it in today's look with a new shirt and shoes from an outlet mall trip this weekend with Dr J and Elle. (We had a megahaul between us of great deals.) I added slim fit black pants and my red blazer/sweater. Sandals and sweaters balance each other out for brisk days, right? And by brisk I mean in the 60s in the morning and up to the 70s at lunch.
