Even though I technically am still on a blogging break, I loved this outfit so much I wanted to include pictures. Like all things with the Internet, I was inspired by a very colorful blouse, and then couldn't remember where I saw it online. I used the black pants to balance out the frilliness and bright colors of my top. I don't always feel like this silhouette is ideal for my shape, but I still like belting slim fit pants. It may or may not also help keep them in place as they stretch out during the day.
I coincidentally matched my fun coral-orange nails and bright purse with this look. I also wore my red leather watch and faux ruby stud earrings and a gold saxophone pendant that actually belongs to my husband. His aunt cast it herself, and I sneakily borrowed it from him so it wouldn't be sad and under worn. I am pretty sure I don't have to give it back now. (Pretty sure.)
Work was quiet--a very nice change of pace. I don't want to jinx it though, so let's pretend it was hectic instead. Once work was over, I headed out to meet Dr. J and Elle with the husband for some dinner. Both of my favorite ladies are now finished with school for a while, and we can go back to hanging out and seeing a little more of each other. Our missing fourth musketeer iSmac will be in town this weekend visiting. I am planning on eating lots of seafood and doing lots of drinking!
